What We Believe

* We believe in God's grace that reaching out to us wherever anyone is in their journey in life. God loves us unconditionally. We don’t need to do anything to earn that love, and nothing will ever separate us from it.

* We believe that God’s grace was revealed fully in Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and was raised from the dead. His life, death, and resurrection set us free from sin, our tendency to live for ourselves, and empowers us to become God-centered and to love all people as God loves.

*We believe that salvation is found in and through Jesus Christ who enables us to follow God's way of life and be the people God created us to be,

*We believe that Jesus is present to all God’s children through the power of the Holy Spirit

–the final word in matters of Christian belief and practice is Holy Scripture as found in the Old and New Testaments of the Bible.

–Holy Scripture requires interpretation that is informed by reason, experience, and Christian tradition.

–the Scriptures are best understood when read and interpreted within the community of faith.

–the Church is the Body of Christ in the world, meant to do as Jesus did by, among many things, feeding the hungry, welcoming the outcast, sharing our possessions, offering healing and hope to the lost, and sharing the witness of faith.

–faith in Christ and empowerment by His Holy Spirit lead to life abundant and eternal. We live into the vision of a new heaven and a new earth, in which God will take charge fully over all things. We seek to give the world a glimpse of this new creation, and work with God to usher in God’s reign.

–we pray that through the Holy Spirit we become “one with Christ, one with each other, and one in ministry to the all the world, until Christ comes in final victory and we feast at his heavenly banquet.”
